Hayley Sabjan - Owner/Head Florist - your friendly flower fairy!

Hayley is the passionate owner and head florist of Burford’s Blooms, a business she runs with heart and dedication. From a young age, Hayley always dreamed of becoming a florist, but life’s many distractions led her to put her passion on hold. After becoming a mother of three, she found herself on a journey of self-discovery, realising she needed to pursue her dreams beyond the most important role in her life – being called "mama". At 30, Hayley made the life-changing decision to stop the excuses and finally enrol in a floristry course. Since then, she has never looked back.

One recent moment confirmed to Hayley that she had truly made the right choice. While sorting through documents, she stumbled upon her completed (but never submitted) TAFE enrolment form for floristry… from 2015! Ten whole years ago. Some things are just meant to be.

Running Burford’s Blooms has brought Hayley immense joy and fulfilment, second only to the joy of raising her children. As a one-woman show, Hayley handles every aspect of the business herself—from sourcing the freshest flowers at the market to creating stunning arrangements, managing customer service, handling website updates, running social media, and making deliveries. While her partner Will is a great support when he can be, Hayley is the driving force behind the business.

Her love for her customers shines through in everything she does, and she’s always open to a friendly chat, eager to connect with those who support her dream. Burford’s Blooms is truly a labour of love, and Hayley’s dedication to her craft and her customers is at the heart of everything she does.

  • Ian Napthali - Grandpa Burford's, the Delivery Pro!

Ian, affectionately known as Grandpa Burfords, is a familiar and trusted face behind many of our deliveries. He works full time in the transport industry, and after finishing his own long days, he heads straight back out to complete our evening runs and takes care of full days of deliveries on Fridays. His experience, patience and calm approach make him the ideal person to handle your flowers from studio to doorstep.

At the heart of it, nobody cares more about your blooms arriving safely than the father of the owner. Ian treats every arrangement as something personal. He checks routes, watches the weather and ensures each bouquet is delivered with the same care he would give to family. His pride in the business shows in the details. He keeps his car spotless, displays our signage with enthusiasm and represents Burfords Blooms with genuine warmth.

He also loves the human side of the work. Meeting the people who choose to support his daughter’s dream is something he truly enjoys. He remembers familiar streets, recognises returning customers and often comes back with stories about the lovely interactions he has along the way.

If you see him on the road, give him a wave. He would be over the moon!

    William Harrison - Co-Owner - "Mr Burford's"

William is the co-owner of Burford’s Blooms and the loving partner of Hayley, our founder. While he works full-time within the railway network, his passion for helping Hayley grow the business is unwavering. In his spare time, William works tirelessly on programming and manually coding a future website for Burford’s Blooms, a project that is close to his heart. He aspires to one day open his own company in the tech and automation industry, but for now, he’s fully committed to supporting Hayley’s dream and ensuring the success of Burford’s Blooms in every way he can.

Though you may not see him on every delivery, William occasionally steps in to deliver flowers, making each delivery he handles a little more special. As our social media and delivery sidekick (and full-time professional giggler), William is always happy to help—whether it's holding all the blooms for our photos (you may recognise his arm from our website!) or offering support wherever it’s needed. He’s there for Hayley and Burford’s Blooms, pitching in to make sure everything runs smoothly.

If you’re lucky enough to catch him on a delivery or pickup, don’t hesitate to say hello and enjoy a dad joke (or seven). William’s warm smile and cheerful nature are sure to brighten your day, making every interaction with Burford’s Blooms just a little more enjoyable.

Erin Napthali - "Sissy Burfords" and Bloom Bar Fairy

Lovingly known as Sissy Burfords and affectionately dubbed our friendly neighbourhood Bloom Bar Fairy, Erin is an essential part of the Burford’s Blooms crew. As my go-to girl for market stalls, pop-ups, and bloom bar events, she’s the right-hand woman I never knew I needed—always ready to jump in, lend a hand, and bring her warm, light-hearted energy wherever she goes.

Erin doesn’t just help out—she shows up. With a natural knack for making people feel welcome and seen, she brings genuine connection to every event she attends. Whether it’s chatting with customers at a stall, helping behind the scenes, or keeping spirits high with her signature stash of dad jokes (yes… proudly dad jokes), she adds a touch of magic that only she can.

As we look ahead, Erin is excited to take on more within the brand, including assisting with workshops and supporting new creative ideas. Her fun-loving nature, loyal heart, and can-do attitude make her a joy to work alongside—and a favourite among our community already.

We’re beyond lucky to have her in the Burford’s Blooms family—because every Bloom Bar needs a fairy.

    Anne Napthali - "Mumma Burford's" and All-Rounder

The woman, the myth, the multitasking legend—Mumma Burfords is the heart and grounding force behind Burford’s Blooms. With a calm presence, endless patience, and sleeves perpetually rolled up, she’s the one quietly keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

But Mumma Burfords is so much more than emotional support—she’s also our market run sidekick, early morning co-pilot, and the first to jump in when things get hectic. Whether it’s fetching last-minute supplies with me, managing the chaos of event prep, or making sure no one forgets to eat, Anne is always there with a quiet confidence and unwavering support.

As Burford’s Blooms continues to grow, so too will Anne’s role. She’s now dipping her toes into arrangement education, with plans to be even more hands-on during peak periods. Her willingness to learn, adapt, and show up (with love and snacks in tow) is just another reason why we couldn’t do this without her.

Whether she’s sorting stock, offering much-needed advice, or simply keeping the rest of us grounded, Anne brings a deep sense of warmth, strength, and care to our little flower family.

Burford’s Blooms simply wouldn’t be the same without her—and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Every bloom bar needs a fairy… but more importantly, a mum.
